Slot machines and electronic table games (ETGs) were the primary drivers, generating $47 million in GGR, up 9.5% from last year. Market Outlook
The latest figures suggest New York’s gaming sector is rebounding from the summer slowdown that typically coincides with a break in the sports calendar. With the return of major league action in September and continued competition among leading sportsbooks, the state’s wagering and casino revenue are positioned for further growth. The broader casino landscape remains in flux as New York moves toward licensing its first casino in New York City. Wynn Resorts recently withdrew from the bidding process, leaving several other operators vying for entry into what is expected to become one of the most lucrative gaming markets in the U.S.
