IGT Secures Seven-Year Contract with Colorado Lottery

International Game Technology PLC (IGT) has announced a significant seven-year contract with the Colorado Lottery through its subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions Corp. This agreement will enable the London-based gaming provider to deliver its cutting-edge products and solutions to Colorado operators and players, marking a major step in the modernization of the state's lottery systems.

Key Details of the Contract

The contract, effective through July 2032, includes options for seven one-year extensions. As part of this comprehensive agreement, the Colorado Lottery will transition to IGT’s Aurora central system, replacing its existing infrastructure. Additionally, IGT will develop a new mobile app designed to enhance player convenience.

Tom Seaver, Director of the Colorado Lottery, highlighted the benefits of this partnership: “We are looking forward to replacing our current equipment with IGT’s most advanced technology, providing more convenient options for players and achieving continued sales growth and funding Colorado’s great outdoors.”

The Aurora system, a key component of IGT’s OMNIA integrated lottery solution, will offer the Colorado Lottery new insights and capabilities through a unified player view. This upgrade aims to broaden the lottery’s product portfolio, enhance marketing communications, and provide players with a seamless omnichannel experience.

Jay Gendron elaborated on the upgrades, noting, “OMNIA, along with the upgrades to retailer equipment and new mobile convenience app, will provide the Lottery with actionable data and tools to manage daily operations and offer players enhanced retail and mobile experiences.”

Furthermore, IGT will upgrade all lottery retailer equipment statewide and introduce a mobile convenience app featuring Scan and Redeem functionality. This app will allow players to scan draw-based or instant scratch tickets and redeem their winnings directly into their bank accounts via automated clearing house (ACH) transfers.

 

IGT's Expanding Influence

With this new contract, IGT continues to solidify its position as a leading technology provider in the lottery sector, currently supporting over 56% of U.S. lotteries. The company’s reach extends globally, supplying eight of the world’s ten largest and 16 of the top 25 lotteries. IGT maintains a strong local presence and collaborates with governments and regulators in over 100 jurisdictions worldwide.

Recently, IGT extended its partnership with the Mississippi Lottery for another three years, where the company's expertise has been pivotal in driving player engagement and achieving growth targets since the lottery's launch in 2019.

Earlier this year, IGT renewed its contract with the Virginia Lottery, continuing a 23-year partnership that has significantly contributed to funding the state’s education system. Additionally, IGT signed an eight-year contract with the Connecticut Lottery Corporation last year, agreeing to provide an iLottery system and new technologies to expand the lottery's game offerings.
