Arizona Lottery Extends Partnership with Scientific Games

Phoenix, AZ: The Arizona Lottery has announced the extension of its long-standing partnership with Scientific Games, a major player in the U.S. lottery industry. This renewed three-year agreement will bring an upgraded central gaming system to the Arizona Lottery, continuing a collaboration that has spanned over four decades.

Scientific Games, known for its advanced lottery technology and systems, has been instrumental in supporting the Arizona Lottery since its inception. The company’s systems technology, which has been in place since 2016, has significantly boosted the lottery's performance, increasing sales by 73% and contributing over $5.5 billion in net funding to various state programs.

Alec Thomson, Chief Executive Officer of the Arizona Lottery, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing partnership. “Scientific Games has been a trusted partner of the Arizona Lottery for 43 years, and we are proud to continue our partnership into the coming years. As industry leaders in central gaming system operations for lotteries across the U.S. and the world, Scientific Games will continue to support the Arizona Lottery in driving meaningful impact for Arizona communities through ticket sales,” Thomson said in a statement.

The renewed contract will see the introduction of a next-generation vending system powered by SCiQ technology. This modern system is expected to further enhance operational efficiency and profit growth, ensuring that the Arizona Lottery remains at the forefront of the industry.
