Playtech and bet365 Expand Partnership to Pennsylvania

October 2024 – UK-based gaming provider Playtech (LSE: PTEC) has announced the expansion of its partnership with bet365, one of the world’s largest online gambling companies, into Pennsylvania. The move marks the second U.S. market where the two companies will collaborate, following their successful venture in New Jersey.

This partnership comes as bet365 continues its growth in the U.S. online casino market. Bet365 launched its New Jersey casino and sportsbook in 2019 and expanded to Pennsylvania in July 2024. Pennsylvania players now have access to a wide range of online gaming options, including live dealer games, digital table games, and Playtech’s extensive library of online slots.

Playtech’s online casino content is currently available in three U.S. states: Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, where the company also operates studios. As part of the expanded partnership, Playtech’s branded slots, including popular titles like Rocky, The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad, are now available to Pennsylvania bet365 users. Classic Playtech games like White King, Great Blue, and Frankie Dettori’s Magic Seven are also accessible.

Kevin Kilminster, chief product innovation officer at Playtech Live, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating, “We are excited to extend this partnership into another U.S. state, continuing to support bet365 with solutions to create new and engaging content for their customers.” Kilminster emphasized that the partnership will continue to focus on developing innovative gaming solutions and bespoke experiences for players.

Bet365, which opened a U.S. headquarters in Denver, Colorado, earlier this year, is committed to expanding its presence in key iGaming markets. A bet365 spokesperson noted, “Our collaboration [with Playtech] has consistently delivered innovative and exciting gaming experiences for our players. We look forward to developing upon our already solid partnership as we continue to grow our offering and achieve new milestones together in the U.S. market.”

The expanded partnership between Playtech and bet365 reflects the growing importance of the U.S. online casino market. Pennsylvania, one of the largest iGaming states in the country, presents a significant opportunity for both companies. Bet365’s move into the state follows its recent partnership with Play’n GO in New Jersey, as it continues to expand its footprint in the U.S.

 

 

Playtech’s expansion into Pennsylvania builds on a busy year for the company, which has secured partnerships with other major players in the U.S. iGaming space. Earlier this year, Playtech partnered with Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers and MGM Resorts to offer live dealer content and custom games. Additionally, the company has made strides in responsible gambling initiatives, partnering with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to explore how artificial intelligence and machine learning can promote safer gambling practices.

As Playtech and bet365 further integrate their offerings in Pennsylvania, both companies are well-positioned to capture the growing demand for online casino gaming in the U.S. market.
