Relax Gaming and Playnetic Formalize Distribution Pact
Relax Gaming has just announced a new partnership with Playnetic. This agreement allows Playnetic's catalogue of online slot content to be distributed through Relax's Powered By Relax programme, a framework designed to scale independent studios while retaining their operational autonomy.
The collaboration is part of Relax's wider objective to support third-party developers whose internal production processes and game mechanics align with current market demands. By linking with Playnetic, Relax adds another layer to its network of content providers while Playnetic, in turn, positions itself to increase its international reach through Relax's established distribution infrastructure.
From Relax's perspective, the Powered By Relax framework has functioned as an onboarding mechanism for smaller or mid-tier studios that are already producing content with commercial potential but require support in scaling their reach. Through this programme, studios retain responsibility for development while accessing Relax's technical integration capabilities, licensing structures, and operator partnerships.
Speaking on behalf of Relax Gaming, Jennifer Buttigieg, Head of Commercial Aggregation, noted that Playnetic's growth trajectory, paired with its operational consistency, made it a suitable addition to the Powered By Relax ecosystem. She pointed to the studio's structured roadmap and its ability to address multiple market needs as factors that contributed to the decision.
For Playnetic, the partnership represents a step toward broader visibility. Commenting on the agreement, Julian Borg-Barthet, Chief Commercial Officer at the company, framed the deal as an opportunity to enhance content access for operators and players across different regions. The integration with Relax opens the door to working with a more diverse set of partners while maintaining Playnetic's current focus on internal development and quality control.
While no flagship titles were highlighted as part of the announcement, both parties indicated that the integration would include current releases and upcoming entries from Playnetic's development roadmap. These games, already optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop play, will be added to Relax's aggregation platform, making them available to operators already plugged into the network. The two companies will now focus on the technical and compliance-related aspects of implementing this integration.
