Robbits: A Heist Told Through Clusters and Code

Robbits: A Heist Told Through Clusters and Code
Quickspin has introduced a new proprietary title built around a structured heist scenario and a layered cluster mechanic. Robbits enters the market not simply as a themed release, but as a system-driven slot that organizes its design around four distinct characters, color-coded symbol interaction, and persistent progression during bonus play.
The setting revolves around a fictional operation targeting the Fur Seasons Casino and Hotel. The narrative centers on four Robbits: Captain “Eightball” Locke, the Blitz twins Switch and Glitch, and Bob, each assigned a color and a defined mechanical function. The storyline provides direction, but the game's identity is rooted in how these four roles shape the structure of play.
Robbits
Robbits runs on a 5×5 grid that can expand to 8×8. Rather than fixed paylines, it applies a Cluster-Collect model. Wins are formed when a Robbit moves across adjacent symbols horizontally or vertically, gathering chips that match its assigned color. Once collected, those symbols are removed and replaced through a tumble sequence. This continues until no further collections occur within the spin.
At the start of each round, four chip types appear at base level. Their value is not static. Through in-game modifiers, these chips can increase in level up to five tiers during a single spin. This tiered structure dynamically changes the payout profile, as upgraded chips carry higher values. In Free Spins, symbol upgrades and accumulated multipliers remain active across the entire feature, creating continuity between rounds rather than resetting after each spin.

Another structural component is the Helipad symbol. When triggered, it expands the grid by adding one row and one column, up to the 8×8 maximum. A new tumble and repositioning of the Robbits follows the expansion. This adjustment changes adjacency patterns and creates additional collection paths within the same spin. The expansion does not guarantee outcomes but alters the grid's geometry, potentially influencing cluster formation.

Power Ups activate after all collections and tumbles are resolved. Each Robbit executes a function linked to its assigned color. Cap, associated with red chips, upgrades all red symbols by two additional levels and swaps the positions of the Robbits on the grid. The multiplier attached to Cap applies to every Robbit's collection during that activation.

Free Spins are triggered by landing three Bonus symbols, with additional Bonus symbols awarding extra spins. During this feature, both chip upgrades and multiplier pots persist from one round to the next. This continuity creates a structure in which early spins within the bonus phase can influence later ones. Rather than isolated events, the rounds form a sequence shaped by accumulated state.

The title launches with three return-to-player configurations: 94%, 92%, and 84%. Multiple RTP options enable deployment across markets with different regulatory frameworks. This approach aligns with broader industry practice, where adaptability across jurisdictions is factored into initial release planning.
